Bruhm GertrudeBRUHM, Gertrude (Trudy) Lavenia (nee WENTZELL)   -  September 25, 1934 - October 20, 2021

Always in Our Hearts Gertrude (Trudy) Lavenia Bruhm (87), passed away peacefully, October 20th, at Humber River Hospital, with her loving husband Ronald Bruhm by her side.

She will be sadly missed by her sons Boyd (Kim Garrett) and Todd (Susan). Adored "Nana" to Paul (Kathleen), Krista (Lee), Kara (Justin), Dana (Brent), and their late mother (Gay Bruhm), Stacey (Marty), Amanda and Katrina (Kevin).

She cherished visits from her 10 great-grandchildren Hailey, Wyatt, Adele, Audrey, Everleigh, Calvin, Everet, Kinsley, Ember, and Mason.

Trudy, born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, cherished her family and friends and always had an open spot at her table for everyone who dropped in. She had a very honest and kind heart and always had a positive outlook on life.

Through hard work and perseverance, she and Ron built their family legacy together.

She was always his biggest supporter and confidant.

Her passions in life were her family, cooking for her family and friends, spending time in Naples, Florida and spending summers at their cottage on Lake Simcoe. The family would like to thank all the caregivers, especially Maria, Grace and Mary.

As well, we would like to thank all the staff at Humber River Hospital, especially the nurses and staff at Dialysis and Dr. Lam.

A private family service will be held at Ward Funeral Home, Weston, Ontario, on Saturday, October 30th at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Humber River Hospital Foundation.
