Stewart AlexanderSTEWART, Alexander Duncan   -   It is with profound sadness that we announce the gentle passing of Alexander Duncan Stewart (Sandy/Stewie) at age 71 on October 19, 2021, in Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with kidney disease.

Sandy will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Robin (nee Kearney), two sons Ryan and Reid, siblings John, Robert (Nancy), and Patti (Grant Heggie), sister-in-law Susan Kearney, brother-in-law David Kearney and nieces and nephews, Adam Wayne (Katie), Kate and Ali Pettersen, Matthew and Alex Stewart, Emma and Ben Stewart, and Caiti, Connor, and Madeline Heggie.

He was the son of the late Christine Marjory (nee Macdonald) and Edwin Warren Stewart, and was predeceased by his brother William.

Sandy graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and pursued a 28-year career as a senior foreign exchange broker with Harlow, Meyer, Savage and then Freedom International in Toronto.

Upon retirement, Stewie and Robin moved to Collingwood where he enjoyed family golf days and spending more time with the love of his life, Puddin', and his two #1 sons, Ryan and Reid.

In his memory, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

There will be a private family gathering in Collingwood in November and then a Celebration of Life to be held in Mississauga later in the spring.
