Bigras PaulBIGRAS, Paul David   -   Paul David Bigras was born April 5, 1942, to Emily (Kilcup) and Roland.

He and his brother, Peter, grew up in Outremont and attended Lower Canada College.

After Sir Georges Williams and McGill University and time working with his father and brother at Roland Bigras et Associés, he embarked on a 40-year career in sales and marketing.

Paul would often say that his life began when he met his bride, Donna.

He was smitten from the moment they met and, by all accounts, so was she.

After Donna, the greatest joy in Paul's life were his children, Kristin and Jill (Jamie), and being the proud Papa of Kristopher, Emily, Benjamin and Samantha.

Paul and Donna raised their family in Kirkland where he left his mark on the growing town - from canvassing to build a swimming pool, to many seasons of Men's Slo-pitch, to serving countless Bigras Hot Dogs at Kirkland Day.

Moving to Toronto reunited Paul and Donna with many friends from the West Island.

In 2017, Paul had a major stroke (followed by two more in 2018 and 2019) that was attributed to cerebral amyloid angiopathy, a condition that can cause intracerebral hemorrhage and dementia, and for which there are no known therapies or cure.

We said goodbye to Paul on October 19, 2021.

For 58 years he and Donna were inseparable and Paul always said he wanted to go first.

A.A. Milne wrote: "If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you." Heartfelt thanks go to the nurses of 10th floor north at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and to Paul's medical team.

In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider contributing to the Sinai Health Foundation.
