AHING, Dixie-Lee   - December 17, 1939 – December 4, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dixie-Lee Ahing, on December 4, 2021, in her 82nd year.

She will be missed dearly by Gary, her devoted husband of 57 years, her three children, Darin (Amanda), Chantal (Sean) and Brent (Shannon), and her five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Olivia, Madison, Elizabeth and Rebecca.

Dixie was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and brought a Caribbean flair and spirit to all she did.

With dreams of a new life, she immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1963 where she married her love, Gary, on June 27, 1964.

Balancing her career in banking with her growing family, Dixie thrived in her new home.

Dixie's love of good friends, good music, and good food made her home a centre of memorable celebrations.

A visitation will be held at the Highland Funeral Home – Scarborough, on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. Space is limited.

Those who wish to make donations in Dixie's memory may direct them to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Love you forever.
