On November 30, 2021, at 92 years of age Charles Gordon Thorpe peacefully passed away at home with members of his family by his side.

He was predeceased by his first wife Barbara, (mother of his children Ken (Carol), Robert (Bonnie), Susan (Craig) and David (Lynn)), father (Manser), mother (Madeline), brother (Walter), great-grandson (Oliver) and he is survived by his wife Alma, sister Mary (Rene), 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well other members of the extended family.

Charles had a long continuous career with Goodyear Canada Inc.

While living in Calgary he was President of the Kiwanis Club 1964. In the late 1960's he was the group committee chairman of the 1st Dixie Boy Scouts.
