Haldane JoanHALDANE, Joan Elizabeth (nee BANNAN)   -  Passed away peacefully in Mississauga, Ontario on December 23, 2021, at the age of 98 years.

She joins her beloved husband, Gilbert Rudolf Haldane.

Joan was born to George and Ada Bannan on October 12, 1923, in Montreal, Quebec.

She graduated high school and then secretarial training at the Mother House.

Joan met Gilbert after WWII and they were happily married for 59 years; they had four children together.

When her children were grown, Joan returned to work and established a fulfilling career as an Executive Assistant at Hoffmann-La Roche for more than 20 years.

She lived for her children and grandchildren and was happiest when her family was all together.

Joan will be dearly missed by her children, Scott Haldane and his wife Linda, Neil Haldane and his wife Meredith, Sheila Duffy and her husband Paul, and Elizabeth Haldane and her husband Lynn Hershfeld.

Also, by her grandchildren, Melanie Vaughan and her husband Trevor, Trevor Haldane and his partner Jennifer Lennon, Jessica Haldane and her husband Graham Young, Chloe Haldane and her husband Josh MacIntyre, Rachel Duffy, and Andrew Duffy.

And, her great-grandchildren, Conor and Charlie Vaughan, and Quinn Young.

A private, family celebration of Joan's life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pacific Post Partum Support Society (postpartum.org) or to the Alzheimer Society of Peel (alzheimer.ca/peel/en).
