Leet MaryLEET, Mary Veronica "Ronnie" (nee DUNCAN)   -  After a long and hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's, Veronica succumbed to this relentless disease on December 28, 2021 in her 92nd year.

Born in Toronto and predeceased by her parents Audrey (Cruikshank) and Ralph Duncan.

Predeceased by her brothers Murray (Evelyn, Sheila), Allen, Earl, Walter (Pat) and survived by her youngest brother Paul (Myrtle), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband John Holtby Leet. Survived by her children Carol (Greg), Susan, and Jim (Jo-Ann), as well as grandchildren William, Rosemary, Stephen, Taylor, and Emma.

Veronica grew up in a big family in poverty when there was no government support. She and her siblings had to make many sacrifices (as did her mother). In her turn she was a wonderful mother to her children and a great support to her husband.

She was smart, beautiful and funny and always there to help others out. She leaves a huge hole in our hearts.

We would like express our sincere thanks to Gerry and Sylvia and Andrea for their loving care as well as to everyone at Shepherd Lodge and the Shepherd day program for their extraordinary care.

The family would ask any donations be sent to Shepherd Village or the Alzheimer Society.

Due to Covid, we are foregoing an indoor ceremony and having a graveside visitation.

We will have a celebration of her life at a later date.
