MARTIN, Gerald (Gerry) Edmond - The Martin Family mourns the loss of their patriarch, who passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021 at the Houses of Providence in Toronto at the age of 86.
Gerry was born on May 31, 1935 in Montreal and married the love of his life, Jai Sook Kim, in 1963.
In 1970 they moved to Toronto with their children Laura and Patrick.
After retiring from the Metropolitan Separate School Board in 1998, Gerry and Jai lived near Honeywood, Ontario in the country home they built overlooking the Niagara Escarpment.
In 2017 they moved to Toronto to be closer to family.
In addition to Jai, Laura and Patrick, Gerry will be missed by son-in-law Raimond Vintuks and daughter-in-law Maria Martin, and grandchildren Julie, Joey, Christian, and Ellie.
He leaves behind his younger siblings Marguerite Dunlop (Peter) and Raymond (Arleen).
There will be a private family Mass and cremation.
