CARLETON, Sheila Julianne (nee RICHARDS)   - January 3, 1942 - December 29, 2021

Born in Charlottetown, PEI to Maurice and Agnes Richards.

Sheila was raised in Dugwall (Timmins), Ontario.

The third of six children, Sheila spent countless hours with her siblings, often the feisty leader among them.

Sisters Inez (2004), Frances (John King), Mary, Colleen (Martino Giudice), and brother John (Margaret Richards).

Sheila moved to Toronto, and began her over 50 years of work, mostly in occupations of "helping" others.

From social worker to immigration consultant, she championed the cause of the those disadvantaged, but finally retiring at the age of 70.

Sheila was a loving and kind mother to Kelly (Mulryan) and grandmother to Kyle (Fairholme) for whom she tirelessly advocated.

Loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews, she was the "cool" one, who often dispensed unfiltered advice.

Lover of small animals, children, and babies, it was never surprising to see the newest babe in her arms.

Beloved "Julie" to dear friends, Sheila will be lovingly missed and remembered by friends, and her large extended family. She loved fiercely and was beloved in turn.

"Look and remember me, the beautiful leaves fluttering in the breeze".

We will remember. Funeral services January 4, 2022, 1-3 p.m. at St. John's Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium. Cremation to follow.
