SHEMKO, George - August 22, 1926 – December 29, 2021
Peacefully, passed away on December 29, 2021, at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, at the age of 95.
Loving husband of Natalie for 61 years.
Loving brother of Nick, Fred, Ed, Myra, Lily, Mary, and Deloris. Greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
George was a gentle and kind soul who loved nature and the outdoors.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at the Sunnybrook for their great care and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to attend the gravesite service at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., North York Ontario. Due to COVID-19, there will be no visitation or reception at this time.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Parkinson Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society and/or the Sunnybrook Foundation, in respect to George Shemko.
