VETTESE, Emma - On December 23, 2021, at age 91, Emma Vettese passed away in her home after a long illness.
Beloved wife of Mario Vettese (deceased 2014), dedicated mother to Aldo, Fred (Michelle), Tony (Nancy), Sandra (Jeff) and Patricia (Martin), and doting grandmother of nine, family was the central theme in her life.
Her Sunday dinners are remembered fondly.
Born in Cassino, Italy, Emma was one of five daughters of Raffaele and Antonietta.
Emma came to Canada in July 1952 to join Mario in Toronto where they raised their family and helped many other families from Cassino emigrate.
Special thanks to Alicia and Kenneth for their help in caring for her in the last few difficult years of her life.
