TAPPER, Gertrude Irene (nee JONES) - A long life was well lived by Gertrude Irene Tapper (nee Jones) of Scarborough, Ontario.
She passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022, at Woodhaven Long Term Care in Markham.
She was 93 years old.
Gertrude was predeceased by her parents William and Bertha Jones, and her husband of 68 ½ years, Albert Edgar Tapper. Gertrude is survived by her three daughters: Marianne Rose, Margaret (George) Williams and Marilynne (Andrew) Gordon.
Her legacy also includes seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Many thanks are extended to the staff and friends at Adelaide Place in Lindsay. Gert and Ab lived there for almost four years.
Deep appreciation is also extended to the doctors, nurses, staff and friends at Woodhaven LTC in Markham. Their love, care and time spent helping mom along with her dementia journey these last few years were exemplary.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private interment has been held. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
