TOWSE, John H. - July 7, 1924 - January 2, 2022
Longtime Toronto resident John H. Towse age 97 died on January 2, 2022 at North York General Hospital.
Mr. Towse was born July 7, 1924 to John Thomas and Margaret May Towse.
He attended Oakwood Collegiate, and the University of Toronto.
Following graduation as an Electrical Engineer, he joined Bell Canada and remembered fondly his work in establishing the Bell microwave communication facilities. He married Allison Mackie in October of 1966 at the Emmanuel Chapel University of Toronto.
He was a member of the Granite Club for many years and enjoyed the opportunities for fitness and fellowship.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Allison, and 5 nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his sisters Laura (Billy), Mona (Jimmy) and Doris (Dode), a nephew Vaughan and relatives in the Maritimes.
A funeral service will be organized at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
