da CAMARA, Roza (nee SERRAO)   -  Roza da Camara, age 89, of Thornhill, Ontario, passed away peacefully, December 28, 2021.

Born June 19, 1932 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the daughter of Lily da Silva (Cape Town, South Africa) and Manuel Serrao (Funchal, Madeira).

She is survived by her loving husband Antonio (Tony); cherished children: Antonio (Diane) da Camara, Mariaroza (Daniel) Opperman; adored grandchildren Bryce da Camara; Melissa da Camara; Danielle (Justin) Larson; Roelof (Marishka) Opperman; Michelle (Daniel) Garner; Maralize (Jesse) Anderson; precious great-grandchildren Lawrence, Jack (Larson); Haven, Grace, Reed (Garner); Emma, Elise (Anderson); numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families across the world.

International friends and their families; and the congregation of St. Luke's church Thornhill, Ontario.

Affectionately known as Rose, Ma and Avó.

She was a sewing wizard, an excellent cook, found comfort in saying her rosary and was always willing to give a helping hand.

She loved to travel far and wide and shopping was a favorite pastime. We will miss her "keeping us on our toes" and her stories.

We remember many of her favorite feasts like Bacalhau, Pickled Fish at Easter and the all-time favorite Christmas Eve Carne Vinha d' Alhos with a shot of whiskey.

She has joined the Angels in Heaven and in her words "I have lived a good life". Farewell Roza (Rose, Ma, Avó) we will meet again.
