SKEELS, Hubert (Hugh) Arthur William - July 31, 1926 – January 3, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of Hugh at 95 years old – a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Born in Chatteris, England, Hugh was the son of Arthur William and Elizabeth Skeels (née Starkey), brother to Rene (Wilf) and Tom (Marj) (all deceased).
World War II Veteran with the 3rd Kings Own Hussars - British Army.
Immigrated to Canada in 1947 and met his future wife, Joan (née Barrett).
He was a longtime employee of Dufferin Construction until retirement.
Survived by his beloved wife, Joan. Loving dad of Jim, Pat, Peter (Franca), Mary (Lester), Michael (Josie), and Joan.
Adored grandfather of Jessica, Mark (Jessika), John (Elecia), Paul, Shane (Maria), Phillip (Michelle), Michael (Julia), Jennifer (Ricky), Samantha and Stephanie and great-grandfather to Emjay, Alexander, Maxwell and Leora.

The family appreciates any donations in memory of Hugh to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
