Bessner AmyBESSNER, Amy (nee REEKIE)   - December 17, 1921 - January 17, 2022

At the age of 100, Amy died peacefully in her sleep.

Feisty, determined, and self-reliant, Amy was a wife (late Morris Bessner), mother (Bonnie Horne) and aunt and great-aunt to many.

Her gracious, efficient manner working for Massey-Ferguson for 22 years on the switchboard earned her the title PBX Switchboard Operator of the Year in 1968.

Amy had a strong creative bent which was displayed in many activities, including sewing, millinery, decoupage, and gardening.

She was, rightly, very proud of her garden.

Amy is loved and will be remembered for her wit, humour, and positive, never-give-up attitude.

Due to current Covid restrictions, the arrangements are private; however the service will be live-streamed with Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.

If desired, donations to the CNIB would be appreciated.
