DYDYK, Walter Robert - Walter's family mourns his unexpected passing on Monday, January 17, 2022, in Mississauga, at the age of 68.
Predeceased by parents, Nicholas and Anna Dydyk (Kurko), and brother, Roman.
Survived by daughter Amanda, beloved granddaughter, Sloane and grandson, Sterling.
Walter will be dearly missed by his former spouse, Jo-anne Dydyk (Budreau), his extended family and lifelong friends.
Walter was born in Toronto, growing up on Queen St. W. in the heart of Parkdale.
Walter was proud of his roots, having formed many of his lifelong friendships during his youth.
Walter also loved sports, spending many years playing baseball with friends and watching his beloved football team, Pittsburgh Steelers.
Walter was a kid at heart with an incredible laugh.
While Walter left us too soon, we take comfort in him being reunited with his loving parents and brother once again.
Visitation will occur on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1 p.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4 Bellwoods Avenue, Toronto. Guests may reserve attendance for visitation or the funeral by contacting the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation.
