Tyrrell WalterTYRRELL, Walter Morrison   -  November 28, 1932 to January 23, 2022

Passed peacefully, after a long battle, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on January 23, 2022, at 89 years.

He will be sadly missed by his lovingly devoted wife of 68 years, Sylvia; his children, Catherine (Brian), Christopher (Alice), and Scott (Jodi); his beloved grandchildren, Megan (Jarret), Matthew (Amanda), Jonathan, Devin (Melissa); and his adoring great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Blake, Nash, Brooke, Brynley and Cavan.

Predeceased by his granddaughter, Kristen.

Walter was born in Toronto, where he had a long and distinguished career with the Toronto Police Service, retiring as Deputy Chief, Field Command, in February 1993, after 38 years service.

He was an extremely dedicated officer serving in numerous positions including a 12 year stint in the Homicide Squad, two of which he was in command.

Throughout his life, he was always all about family and was our generous, thoughtful and loving "Papa".

His family would like to express sincere appreciation to the many caregivers who provided Walter with comfort and care during his recent stay at OTMH.

Cremation to take place and Celebration of Life to honour him will be held in Oakville, in the Spring.
