Ward EdwardWARD, Edward (Ted) John  -  March 18, 1930 – May 13, 2022

Ted, dearly loved by his wife, Carol, and family Ted grew up in the Beach district of Toronto.

He was the proud son of British parents, Alfred and Alice Ward, and blessed by siblings, Dudley (Alice), Hazel and Dorreen (Joe), all predeceased, together with first wife Jura (nee MacLean), mother of his treasured children Pamela (Mark), Barbara, Peter (Marianne), Elizabeth and the late Catherine.

Survived also by his beloved wife of 32 years, Carol, and step-daughter Monique (Ken); Grandad to Anna (Greg), David (Natalia), Miranda, Alexandra and Nicholas; Grandpa to Connor, Matthew and Benjamin; Great-grandad to Gabe and Alastair. Ted loved each one dearly, each one a special gift of our heavenly Father.

Ted, part of the great generation, born during the great depression, lived through WWII to be led by a vision.

He was a graduate of Malvern Collegiate, University of Toronto (Forestry) and Wycliffe College.

Together with his wife Carol they initiated and led the 'School of Healing Prayer' in Toronto for 12 years.

He sought to emphasize thinking and practice of Jesus's model for ministry to the whole person (Luke 10:1-11).

He was passionate about choral, classical and contemporary worship music. Together with Carol, they enjoyed camping and canoeing especially on Lake Temagami, and travels to England, Greece, Israel, Malta and the French Riviera. Our Ted was a man whose passion was to lead people to Jesus; he was a visionary, and often a burr under the saddle!

A visitation will be held at St. Paul's Church, 227 Bloor St. E., Toronto, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on June 7, 2022. A funeral service to celebrate Ted's life will follow at 11 o'clock.

Please, no flowers. Ted would rather you gave a donation to Covenant House (covenanthousetoronto?.ca). Thank you.
