SAMU, Peter - On June 12, 2022, Peter Constantin Samu, M.D., passed away at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Born in Cluj, Romania, a Holocaust survivor, Peter lived in Venezuela, attended high school in Barbados, later arriving in Canada in 1954.
After graduating from the University of Toronto and a residency at Stanford, he became an accomplished radiologist and entrepreneur.
An avid photographer, writer, and lover of a well-made martini, he was at his happiest cooking cuisines of the world at his many dinner parties with his cherished friends.
Beloved husband of Cynthia, father of Dana, stepbrother to Gabriel Beck and Leah Beck.
Lovingly remembered by his cousin Yvonne Kramer. Cherished uncle to his many nieces.
Loving grandfather to his eight step-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Beth Tzedec Memorial Park, 5822 Bathurst Street, Toronto.
