SHURA, Genevieve - Passed away peacefully, at Toronto Grace Hospital, on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 91 years of age.
Loving wife of the late George William Kidd. Survived by sister, Mary Hynes.
Predeceased by brothers, Walter and Joseph Shura; and Sister, Elizabeth "betty" Bain.
Daughter of the late Anna and Peter Shura.
Born in Brightstone, Manitoba, on November 11, 1930, she moved to Toronto around 1950, lived with family members, and she met George Kidd soon after.
She worked for Dineen Construction for 31 years as the Executive Secretary.
Genevieve and George were avid sailors, sailing out of Midland, Ontario. Sailing adventures included their four nephews and teaching them how to sail.
Sailing to favourite places such as Beausoleil Island, Honey Harbour, Frying Pan Bay and Penetanguishene areas. Many great memories were created over the years vacationing with the families of her sisters at Blue Water Beach, Ontario.
Genevieve will be sadly missed by her sister, Mary; nephews, Bruce, Warren, Doug and Craig, all from Ontario; and many other family members in Manitoba.
Visitation is Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Morley Bedford Funeral Services, 159 Eglinton Ave. W, Toronto, ON. Chapel Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment immediately following.
