ARMIN, Adele Ruth - Our beloved mother, Adele, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital on Sunday, June 26, 2022, after a two year battle with cancer.
She loved her family fiercely, and will be deeply missed by her sons, Jesse Riley, Ben Riley; daughters-in-law, Leigh and Florence; grandchildren Harrison and Evangeline, Charlotte and Alice; Adele's sister-of-the-heart, Alix; brothers, Otto, Paul, Richard and their respective families; and all of those who knew her.
She is predeceased by her mother, Martha Armin; father, Jay Armin; and son, Mikey.
Adele was a respected violinist of international acclaim. She toured extensively, played on hundreds of recordings, and was a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for twenty years.
She was passionate about sustainability, forest, ocean and bee preservation and climate change.
Adele had a love of nature, many genres of music, food and cultures from around the world.
When Adele was asked how she felt about her impending illness her immediate response was "Immense gratitude for the life I was given".
