Wilson WalterWILSON, Walter John  -   August 16, 1937 - June 21, 2022

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side.

He was born in Gananoque, ON.

Predeceased by mother, Maude Elizabeth Wilson and father, David Wilson.

Survived by his brother, John Wilson (Sylvia); and father to Bret Wilson (Donna) and Trudy White (Joseph); grandfather to Alexandra Wilson and Emily Wilson; uncle to Jannah Wilson (Mike), Karina Bedard (Dan) and David Wilson; and great-uncle to Lucas Bedard and Tayla Bedard.

Walter was a math teacher and dept. head at Cawthra park S.S. in Mississauga, ON.

He loved teaching and would be covered in chalk at the end of his lessons. He always tried to bring out the best in his students.

Walter was an avid outdoorsman and passed along his zest for life to many. He was an outdoor education teacher and a great badminton coach.

He enjoyed canoeing / kayaking, hiking and mountain biking, but most of all... skiing.

In early retirement, Walter moved to Whistler, B.C. to pursue his dream of skiing in the mountains where he did just that for 20 plus years.

Along the way he became a fixture in Whistler and made many lasting friendships with some really great people. Cheers Dad, this pint's for you.
