Duplak PaulineDUPLAK, Pauline   -   In her 101st year, our mother, Pauline Duplak, passed away peacefully, with her sons at her side, on Monday, August 1, 2022.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Stefan and her sister, Julia.

Beloved mother of Stephen (Donna) and William (Debra) and cherished baba of Kaitlyn and Austin.

Born in Malkovice, Poland on December 1, 1921, Pauline immigrated to Canada in 1948 with her husband Stefan and eventually started a new life in the Toronto area.

After a few years, they moved to the then Borough of Swansea, where they become the proud owners of Swansea Grocery, remaining in the business for close to 25 years.

During the summer months, Pauline enjoyed spending weekends with family at the cottage on Lake Simcoe, where she loved to garden and host many friends.

Mom enjoyed cooking and baking and was a talented painter of Ukrainian Easter Eggs (Pysanky). Our mother loved family above all else. We love you mom.

We will miss you and you will remain in our hearts forever.

Arrangements with Turner and Porter, Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9th, at 10 a.m. at Ukrainian Church of the Holy Protection, 30 Leeds Avenue, Toronto. Interment to follow.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ivan Franko (Royal York) for their outstanding care and support for our mother in her last years.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Ivan Franko Home (Royal York) would be appreciated.
