Black DennisBLACK, Dennis John   -   March 3, 1953 - October 2, 2022

With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Dennis John Black of Toronto, Ontario, in his 69th year.

Dennis passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon (Oct 2, 2022) while doing what he loved.

Proud and loving father of John Black (Jordana) of Pickering and Jenny Souch (Mike) of Newcastle. Cherished grandfather of Logan, Megan, Lucas, and Julia Souch, and Avery and Cole Black. Dear brother of Kenneth Black (Helen) of Arnprior and Gail Manson of White Lake.

Loved uncle of Rachel, Stephen and Robert (Deanna).

Missed by his great-nieces and nephews; and close friend, Jimmy Barry.

Born in Arnprior, Dennis was predeceased by parents, Owen and Verna (nee Twa) Black; and survived by former wife, Janet Black.

He was a longtime employee of Atlas Polar Company Ltd. and lived by the motto "Work Hard and Be Nice to People."

Resting at Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior, where friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel Monday, October 10, 2022, at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at Dennis' brother Ken's house, 938 Munro Drive, Arnprior, K7S 3G8.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
