McCANN, Thomas Anthony McCann   -  Born October 21, 1958, deceased October 4, 2022, died of complications from liver failure, on the night of Tuesday, October 4th, at Toronto General Hospital.

An immigrant from Dublin, Ireland, Thomas sought a new life in Canada in 1989, and became a citizen in 1993.

He remained a proud Irishman and his last job was working with the renowned Barrymore Furniture brand as a craftsman, and a member of the Steelworkers union.

A longtime resident of the Church-Wellesley community, Thomas' first partner, John Eric Turner, predeceased him in 2015, and he formed a new partnership with Alan Macdonald in 2016.

Thom's happy-go-lucky nature endeared him to everyone who met him, and his positive outlook was always welcome. He loved his vacations in places where the heat was abundant, such as Spain or the Caribbean.

Thom leaves his partner and caregiver, Alan; sisters, Iris, Helen and Sharon; older brother, Michael; nephews, Anthony and Sean; and nieces, Sinead, Liza, Catharine, and Sarah. Thomas and Alan would like to thank the care of all the staff of University Health Network, Toronto, who worked with him during the last 4 months.

Donations, in his name, may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
