BROCKLEHURST, Charles - Passed peacefully, at Houses of Providence, Toronto, on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the age of 95.
Predeceased by his brothers, Fred and George; and sister, Jean.
He will be deeply missed by his niece, Catherine Paris; and valued friends.
Charles was born, raised and lived in his beloved Town of Mount Royal until moving to Toronto in retirement.
He worked for several parishes in the Archdiocese of Montreal.
He retired from St. Patrick's Basilica in 2006, where he cherished his work helping to oversee its restoration, and 150th anniversary.
Both Montreal and St. Patrick's held a special place in his heart; he leaving instructions that he wished his funeral to be celebrated at the Basilica, and his remains be buried with his beloved family on Mount Royal. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Basilica, 460 boul Rene Levesque W., Montreal, QC, on Thursday, October 27th at 12 p.m. Visitation will be held in the Basilica the same day from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by interment at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery, 4601 Cote-des-Neiges Rd., Montreal.
