DENYS, Mary Carolle Ann (nee COOK) Denys   -  Beloved mother of Paul, Chris and Brad; mother-in-law to Jean, Lisa, Jacinthe and Maureen; sister to John, Jim, Joe and Marie Cook, passed away peacefully, at her home on October 22, 2022.

She loved her grandchildren dearly, and that love was whole-heartedly returned.

Carol was born in Malarctic, Quebec, May 5, 1940.

She grew up in Scarborough, and began her nursing career after graduating from St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto.

She married Laurent Denys, and had exciting and varied experiences in Peterborough, Ghana and Antigua with her growing family.

They returned to Ottawa, Canada, in 1974, where she continued nursing, working at Madonna Long Term Care until her retirement.

Always caring for others, nursing was her calling and she worked tirelessly to improve the lives of nurses through her extensive work with the Ontario Nurses Association.

Carol and her family would like to thank her visiting nurses and personal service workers from Bayshore Home Care Solutions for such diligent care, brightening her days and allowing her to stay happily in her home until her death.

She will be cremated and interred in Port Hope at a future date.

Carol will be sorely missed by all friends and family .
