DE DIEGO, Rosina (nee STANZIOLA)   -  January 8, 1923 - November 14, 2022

In the company of her beloved children, and in her 99th year, Rosina left us on Monday, November 14, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario.

She was adored by her devoted husband, Eduardo Ernesto De Diego (2015) and cherished by her children, Ilka Irene, Eduardo Jr. (Sarah), Marcos (Debbie) and Mara (1998).

Nee Stanziola, she was born in Panama City, Panama in 1923. She came to Canada in 1952 with Eduardo for a Diplomatic posting in Montreal. She liked ice skating so much that she insisted they stay on indefinitely, despite the mountains of snow, and settled in Canada.

Rosina was a joyful mother, a Diplomat's spouse, gregarious and enthusiastic about people and life.

Rosina was also a life-long member of the Third Order, Society of St. Francis, and engaged in benevolent work to the poor.

She will be lovingly remembered by dearest Gianni; her grandchildren, Christina (Adam), Marcella, Artemis and Maximilian; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Olivia. Friends and family are invited to the visitation held at Heritage Funeral Center, 50 Overlea Boulevard, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Parish, 137 McCaul Street, Toronto, on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a Charity of Your Choice.
