Born in Toronto, October 10, 1924, Bernice Sherlock passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2022.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Gerald; her parents, Anne (Montone) and Sam Box; and her sisters, Philomena (Jack) Wiles and Gloria (Joseph) Podkowa.

Bernice is survived by her sister, Florence (Stan) Clarkin.

Loving mother to Michael (Lydia), Anne, Cathy (Glen) Molto, Mark, James (Barbara Ann) and Tim; and proud grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After graduating from Central High School of Commerce, Bernice attended Jarvis and Harbord Collegiate for her Senior Matriculation and studied Psychology for one year at the University of Toronto.

In later life, Bernice went back to University to study English and Mediaeval History.

She went on to work for the Civil Service Commission as well as the Health Disciplines Board, where she served as secretary during disciplinary hearings under Edward Abram Pickering, the founding chairman of the Ontario Health Disciplines Board and former wartime Private Secretary to Prime Minister Mackenzie King. Bernice was an avid reader well into her 90s with wide ranging interests.

Along with her husband, Bernice was a strong witness to her Catholic faith.

She will be greatly missed.
