CASTLEDINE, Donna Marie - Sadly and unexpectedly, Donna Castledine (nee Rosati), passed at age 71, December 17, 2022.
Beloved daughter of the late Elio (Al) Rosati, and the late Gioconda (Jackie) Rosati (Ginestre).
Donna will be greatly missed by her many cousins, family and friends.
Donna carried on the work of her father who was a founding member of the Maple Leaf Rally Club in 1968.
She was an organizing force for every Tall Pines rally since 1971, driving to victory, serving on the executive and was chief control marshal.
No daily driver would do except a classic Honda Accord with standard transmission. She was also passionate about sailing on Lake Ontario and was a lover of science and nature, enjoying bird watching locally at the Kortright Centre for Conservation, and in Algonquin Park and Lake Placid, attending physics club events including those at the York University Astronomical Observatory (a York University graduate), and traveling to the Canadian Arctic.
She could be found enjoying film, concerts, reading and writing. Donna was a "cat person."
She will always be an amazing and inspirational woman who has earned her place in the universe.
