BRUNZEMA, Dr. Manya (nee OCKEN) - Passed away suddenly on January 18, 2023, at the age of 58.
She was born in Westerstede/ Ammerland, Germany.
After marrying Friedrich Brunzema, she immigrated to Canada where she lived in Toronto and worked as a freelance translator and proof reader, as well as chief editor at the Deutsche Rundschau.
She was also a board member of Moll Berzy house and an active member at Martin Luther Church.
Manya was a loving mother, wife, and friend and is survived by her husband, children, and sister-in-law.
A bilingual worship service and celebration of life will take place at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church on February 4th at 10:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of life and subsequent committal ceremony at St. John's Norway Cemetery.
