Houston CharlesHOUSTON, Charles Woodley   -  November 7, 1930 - January 25, 2023

 

Charles died peacefully in his home in Toronto at the age of 92.

 

Charles was predeceased by his parents, Ada and Charles Houston, and his brother George Houston of Montreal.

 

He was the uncle to Marion Houston Boland and Donald Houston, and great-uncle to six nieces and nephews.

 

Charles was an alumni of Sir George Williams University and McGill University.

He had a Master's Degree in social work and devoted his working years to helping individuals in his field of social services. He was a dedicated volunteer to helping children with reading.

 

Charles was an avid walker and travelled to many wonderful spots around the world. He enjoyed good music, culture and the arts, and was a faithful member of Metropolitan United Church in Toronto.

 

A memorial service will be held at Metropolitan United Church, 56 Queen Street East, Toronto on February 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Charles will later be buried in Glenbrook Cemetery in the Eastern Township of Quebec in the summertime.

 

Donations may be made to Metropolitan United Church, Toronto or the Glenbrook Cemetery fund.
