Holiday MichaelHOLIDAY, Michael Claude   -

March 2, 1951 - April 21, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Claude "Fridge" Holiday.

He passed away on April 21, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 72.

He was the rock and foundation of not only Harbour Printing, but also to an amazing family of 5 kids: Jonathan (deceased), Kevin (Kelly), Jennie (Mike), Julie (Aaron), Chris (Jen); and 15 grandkids: Nathan, Caleb, Aidan, Carson, Tyler, Olivia, Carter, Ryan, Aurora, Sienna, Adelaide, Claire, Dylan, Emma, Connor! Michael was truly an amazing father, and an even better Poppa to his grandchildren.

He was always a constant source of wisdom, courage, insight and inspiration. He was born March 2, 1951, in Montreal, Quebec, to Joan Chadwick and Claude Holiday, with siblings, Joan Ann, Susan and Kenneth. He was born and raised on Bellmore Avenue in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montreal. Later, he met the love of his life and wife, Carole, through his best friend, Lorna.

After getting married, they eventually moved to Toronto. After a few years, they settled in Brampton, Ontario, where they would welcome 5 wonderful children. During this period, Michael started Harbour Printing, a vibrant company, still running today under his sons. Over the years, he was able to connect and support so many people.

Michael had many charitable causes close to his heart; he was able to impact so many people over the years. It culminated into the Jonathan Holiday School he helped build in Congo, Africa, in memory of his late and cherished son.

No words can describe the loss for our family; he truly was an amazing human being, and this world won't be the same without him. He is a legend. He had such a contagious laugh and smile that will be forever be missed. He was still passionate about so many projects until the end. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes, with a private service.

A Celebration of Life will be held as follows: Celebration of Life Information Friday, April 28, 2023, 1 to 4 p.m. Cataraqui Golf and Country Club Dining Room 32 Country Club Dr., Kingston OR Friday, May 5, 2023, 12 to 4 p.m. Brampton Golf Course 7700 Kennedy Rd., Brampton In lieu of any flowers.

Please donate to two things that he was so passionate about: 1) The Kingston General Hospital Cancer Centre For the wonderful care he received from the cancer centre staff at KHSC. We can't thank them enough – Dr. Andrew Robinson, Cindy from Davies 4 ICU, all the amazing staff and most importantly, his daughter, Julie, who was his angel on earth during his care https://uhkf.akaraisin.com/ui/UHKFdonate/donations/start 2) The Jonathan Holiday Memorial School Started in memory of Michael's late son, Jonathan "Lawner" Holiday.

This was a passion project that he not only started, but visited first hand. He always believed in helping others through the power of education. The Jonathan Holiday School: https://www.theartofcourage.ca/.
