BROWN, Carmen Ernest -
1937 - 2023
Carmen passed away at Etobicoke General Hospital in Toronto on May 8, after many years of struggling with both Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Dementia.
Born in Melfort, Saskatchewan to the late Ernest & Phoebe Brown, he was predeceased by half-brother, Harold Williams and sister, Grace Hamblin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; sons, Kirk (Donna) and Kevin (Keira); and granddaughters, Dayna and Gillian.
Carmen began working with the Royal Bank of Canada in Norwood, Ontario and his career spanned over 35 years.
One of the things he loved about his job was that he was constantly on the move. Fortunately, he loved change and new adventures as he was transferred over a dozen times, including Iqaluit (formerly Frobisher Bay), Niagara-on-the-Lake, Chatham, Sudbury and, finally, Toronto, where he retired.
He made many lifelong friends along the way; unfortunately his illness made it hard to continue to connect with them in later years.
In honour of his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
