KIRKPATRICK, Edward Mason  -

May 26, 1922 - May 19, 2023

Peacefully, one week before his 101st birthday. Mason, known as Kirk to his friends, was born in Toronto to William and Albertina (Mason) Kirkpatrick.

Beloved husband of Hannelore Muesch. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joanie Cosburn; and his younger sister and brother, Adele (Burt) McCrimmon and Bill (Joan) Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by his daughters, Janice Kirkpatrick of Aurora, Maureen Armstrong of Manitoulin Island, and Jill (David) Tate of Aurora.

Loving grandfather of Tristan and Clare (Rory) Armstrong, and Emily (James), Adam (Monica), Lisa (Andrew) and Sarah (Matty) Tate; and great-grandfather of Rosemary, Louise and Milo.

Fondly remembered by Blaine Armstrong. Mason served in the Canadian Army (Signal Corps) in WWII.

He lived the first third of his life in Toronto, then spent many happy years in King City and finally, Aurora.

Mason attended the Art Course at Danforth Tech, becoming a talented freelance commercial artist.

For five years before retiring, he taught Graphic Art at Humber College.

He lived a long and interesting life, and will be missed by friends and extended family. Private interment has taken place.

In memory of Mason's many beloved dogs and cats, contributions to his favourite charity, Haven of the Heart Animal Sanctuary, would be appreciated.
