FERMO, Orazoi  - March 3, 1925 – October 20, 2017

Dad left us after a long and cherished life.

Beloved husband to Lina, a caring papa to Maria (Rob) and Corrado (Lorna) and a comforting nonno to Ronnie, Marileina, Lucas and Emily.

Dad will be greatly missed by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins and many nieces and nephews. Dad was a life-long learner, having many interests. His true passion was family and friends.

A loving and dedicated husband and father, he was always supportive and understanding.

Dad loved a good laugh, approaching life with wit and humour, especially enjoying the extended basement and backyard parties with his brothers, cousins and their families.

We wish to thank the Emergency Department, Extended Care Teams, the 3rd Floor Teams at Michael Garron Hospital, CCAC, as well as dad's team of caregivers from VHA for their ongoing care and compassion. Dr. Bentley-Taylor provided outstanding support during dad's initial challenges and for several decades thereafter.

Dad experienced many health issues and his ability to face them with tenacious optimism and good humour is something that will remain with us.

Join us to share stories during a celebration of dad's life on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 6 to 9 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue, Toronto. Worship service will be held next day at 10 a.m. at Kimbourne United Church, 200 Wolverleigh Boulevard, Toronto.

"Only three things matter; how you loved,
how gently you lived,
and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you
."
