DELAHEY, Frederick Charles "Charlie" "Duke"  - 1932 – 2017 It is with shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charlie on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

Although his battle was brief, his positive outlook and strength was admired.

He was truly unbelievable, living life to the fullest each and every day. He had a warm and kind personality, with an immense circle of friends. To a few he was Charles, to many he was Charlie and to many others, he was Duke.

He was known for his sense of humour and adventure, which often made for great stories. Charlie (Duke) was dedicated to his family. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Marilyn Delahey (Fenn) and will be forever loved and missed by his 7 children; Cynthia (Craig), Annmarie (Dave), Charles (Tracey), Renee (Bill), Michelle (Tony), Heather (David) and Andrea (Doug). He was Papa to 22 grandchildren whom he took great pride in.

Always encouraging them to continue their climb to reach their goals. Charlie (Duke) was predeceased by his mother Adele Marie Delahey (Phelan) and his father Frederick Charles Delahey. He will be dearly missed by his siblings Dwyne (David, predeceased), Denise (Edward, predeceased) and David (predeceased). He loved writing personal notes and cards and always put a lot of thought into them. We will all cherish his many words of wisdom

The family will receive friends and family at the Highland Funeral Home, Markham, on Sunday, October 29th from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m.The Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 21 Simonston Boulevard, in Thornhill on Monday, October 30th at 11 a.m.
