GURNEY, Helen - Passed away at her home at Amica (Bayview) on October 28, 2017 at the age of 99 years.
She was born in Whitby, ON, on October 16, 1918 to Edward and Sarah (Keene) Gurney.
Predeceased by five siblings and her dear friend Gladys Munnings.
She will be remembered by her loving family of five nieces and nephews, seven great-nieces and nephews, as well as eight great-great-nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered with affection and respect by former students, colleagues and friends whose lives she touched and inspired.
We wish to thank the compassionate staff of Home Instead Senior Care and Amica (Bayview) Retirement Residence who made every effort to improve the quality of Helen's final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11 a.m.
