ADAM, (ELEANOR) Margaret (nee BLOOD)  - June 28, 1930 - November 5, 2017

In her 88th year, our mother's spirit peacefully left her body on Sunday, November 5th at Kenton Place, Toronto.

Margaret was born in Melrose, Mass., raised in Reading, Mass. and travelled to Montreal to study Economics at McGill University where she met and married our father, Reverend Canon Jack E. Adam (2011).

Though she retained a deep love for, and connection to her country of birth, she held an equal and deep love, affection and respect for her adoptive country Canada.

Both Margaret and her husband Jack shared a common and profound Christian social gospel-based belief and commitment to social and economic justice and an antipathy for racism, religious bigotry, prejudice and discrimination in all its forms.

She will be lovingly missed by her children Michael (Lily Ing), Elizabeth, Susan Franzini-Teeuwen (Jerry Teeuwen 1998), David and Robert and by her grandchildren Laura Franzini, Giancarlo Franzini (Dale Bryan) and Isabella Teeuwen. She is fondly remembered by her former son-in-law Salvatore Franzini and his father Erasmo Franzini.

Also mourning her loss are her brother Lawrence Blood, his wife Fern and his former wife Jane Strete and their children Deborah, David (Claire) and Brian (Andrea), and children and her sister-in-law Ellen Adam (Paul 1987) and their sons Eric, Christopher (Sue) and Steven (Linda), and children.

A service to honour our mother's life will be held in ST. BARNABAS CHURCH, 361 Danforth Avenue, Toronto on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:30 a.m., Rev Jeannette Lewis officiating. Reception following the service (on site).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amnesty International.
