MacMURTRY, Winnifred (nee STROUD) - Winnifred Elsie MacMurtry passed away peacefully with loved ones at her side at Markham Stouffville Hospital on November 3, 2017 in her 95th year.
Loving wife of 52 years to the late Robert J.H. MacMurtry.
Winnifred will be sadly missed by her six children and 33 grandchildren Wendy Rebeck (Raymond and children Daryl and Mandy), Peggy Rea (John and children Vicki, Becky, Jessie and Jennifer), Jim MacMurtry (children Blayr and Dan), Barbara Grealey (partner Steve and children Tiffany and Melissa), Nancy Midghall (Brian and children Rob, Shannon, Tyler and Brennan) and Dean MacMurtry (Sue and children Cameron and Kristy).
Winnifred will also be sadly missed by her 17 great-grandchildren.
The family would especially like to thank Nancy and Brian who were always there to support, love and care for Winnifred when she needed it most; Nancy's medical acumen has been a blessing for Mom over the years. We would also like to thank Carol for her compassionate loving care.
At Winnifred's request a private cremation has been held.
The family will be holding a private ceremony to celebrate Winnifred's life and legacy at a later date.
