YANAI, Narete (George) - Suddenly passed away at Lakeshore Lodge on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Martha (nee Horiguchi).
He will be dearly missed by his daughter Nancy, son Michael, extended family members and friends.
In the last two years of his life he lost his vision but never lost his sense of humour. Born in North Saanich, BC, he spent most of his retirement years just north of there in Parksville.
His work in marine construction took him to many places across Canada, from the Beaufort Sea building artificial islands for deep sea drilling to the coast of Newfoundland for the Hibernia Project.
Many thanks to the 2N staff at Lakeshore Lodge who helped make his remaining years as pleasant as possible.
