Parker KathleenPARKER, Kathleen Mulock O'Flynn  - With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay Parker on November 9, 2017.

She was predeceased by her husband, Colonel Harry H. A. Parker (1989).

Kay was much loved by a wide circle of family and friends during her long and accomplished life. Born in Toronto in 1915, Kay also lived in Kingston, Oakville, Ottawa, London (Ont.), London (U.K.) and Paris.

Kay was a talented pianist who studied at the Toronto (Royal) Conservatory of Music and gave a recital at the packed Conservatory Concert Hall in 1939.

Kay lovingly raised three children and kept a beautiful home, but always had time for a cocktail party, a bridge or poker game, or her French club.

For the past 50 years, Kay lived on her beloved farm near Kettleby, Ontario, and she was still playing piano at age 102. She will be deeply missed by her children, Stuart (Mary Thain), Ian (Lisa Bendall) and Kathryn (Wilson Markle), her grandchildren, Andrew (Jenna Charlton), Alex (Laura Baker), Ashley (Olivier Ruta), Clarke and Emily, and her great-grandchildren, Malcolm, Annie, Nicolas, Isabelle and Natalie.

The family is very grateful to all those who brought her comfort, especially Shelley and the network of compassionate caregivers, and the Margaret Bahen Hospice team.

We will remember Kay on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 12:00 p.m., at the Thompson Funeral Home, Aurora.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice for York Region.
