PENNA, George - February 26, 1937 - November 10, 2017
Passed away peacefully at home on November 10th, 2017 in his 80th year.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Gamble, sons Joseph and Robert (Lindsay), brother Ross (Elvira), sisters Isabella and Rosemarie and several nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his first wife Helen.
George was a longtime employee of Noranda Inc. In his retirement, he enjoyed golf with his brother and outdoor activities in the garden. He also enjoyed extensive woodworking projects. George's greatest pleasure in life was to take care of his family, be a good father and husband. He dedicated his entire life to taking care of the people he loved.
Visitation will be held at the Jerrett Life Celebration Centre, 8088 Yonge St., Thornhill on November 16, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 39 Green Ln., Thornhill on November 17, 2017 at 12pm, followed by Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his name.
