LUCKS, Frances, R.N., - 1934 - 2017 On Saturday, November 18, 2017, Frances succumbed to neurodegenerative disease after a prolonged course at Kipling Acres.
She was predeceased by her parents August and Helen and her brother Arnold.
She is survived by her brother Stanley (Lynn) in the United States and her sister-in-law Moya in Vancouver, as well as nieces and nephews in the USA and Canada.
She will be missed by her dear cousins Ray Moran and Margaret Anton in Scotland.
She was a dear friend to Lorene and Tom Martell and the Popadynec family. Frances travelled extensively around the world in her younger years. She nursed in Scotland, Germany, Vancouver, Canora Saskatchewan and Hamilton.
She retired as a surgical floor supervisor at Humber Memorial Hospital in Toronto. She then spent many happy years between her home in Brampton and winters in Palm Springs. She had a bright and bubbly personality and made friends easily wherever she went.
Many thanks to the nursing staff at Kipling Acres and to her personal support worker Leslie Aguilar for their considerate care throughout her illness.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow in the family plot in Blairgowrie, Scotland, at a later date.
