HARE, Elizabeth Ann  - It is with sadness that our family announces the death of Elizabeth Ann Hare at her home in Sarasota, Florida, on October 30, 2017 at the age of 80.

She touched especially those in the Hare and Hanselman families and all her friends in both Canada and United States.

She was born on June 15, 1937 in Delhi, Ontario, to Betty and Joe Hanselman. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in music.

On August 20, 1960, she married Dave Hare and moved to Toronto where she first taught school. They raised their two children in Mississauga, Ontario and spent their winter weekends skiing in Collingwood and curling. Their summer vacations were mostly spent at Port Loring on Lake Wilson. In 1982, Dave's job moved them to Atlanta, Georgia, where they lived until retirement.

In 1996, they moved to Sarasota, Florida, where they enjoyed the multi cultured community and also built a summer home on Lake Wilson, Ann's favourite place to be. She lived a joyful life leaving a legacy of grace, strength and love.

There will be a celebration of her life on May 4, 2018 at St. James United Church, Simcoe, immediately followed by a reception at the Norfolk Golf and Country Club.
