LEMON, Reta-Jean Patricia  - July 27, 1926 - October 19, 2017  Peacefully at age 91, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was delivered into the loving arms of God on Thursday, October 19, 2017.

Dearly loved by her children Paul, Mark and Rebecca (William).

Predeceased by her husband The Reverend Canon David E. Lemon of 66 years. Deeply missed by her grandchildren Jessica, Francois, Molly, Shasta, Liam and Sarah. Adoring great-grandmother to her great-grandson Gabriel. Thanks be to God for giving us such a loving mother for over 65 glorious years. Predeceased by her brother Arthur, sisters Ruth and Joan and survived by her brother-in-law Robert Stanley Lemon and sister-in-law Delores (nee Altstatter) of St. Louis, U.S.A.

Remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Reta was the heart of the family around whose light the family revolved.

She has been a vital link to an era now passed and a central chapter in our family's history has closed. Reta was born in the town of Colborne, Ontario, in 1926 to Sidney and Florence Turpin. She lived in Colborne until her marriage to David in 1951.

A gifted public speaker in her youth, Reta won many local and regional competitions. A skill that she was able to apply throughout her long life as she worked side by side with her husband's ministry in the Anglican Church of Canada. As well as public speaking, Reta also taught piano and played the organ at Trinity Anglican Church, Colborne, in her early years. Later in Lindsay she was involved in early childhood education working in a nursery school in the local community. In the 1980s Reta turned her talents and formidable people skills to the financial services industry doing administrative work for Nesbitt Thomson and Montreal Trust Company of Canada. She retired along with David in 1990 and they spent many enjoyable summers at the family cottage at Big Bay Point, Ontario. Cremation has taken place on October 23rd.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at The Church of The Transfiguration, 111 Manor Road, Toronto, Ontario. Service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund or the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
