WARD, Shirley Lillian - Passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in her 92nd year.
She was a resident of Shepherd Lodge in Scarborough, where she enjoyed superlative care for some five years.
Shirley was the wife of Bruce Maynard for 71 years; the loving mother of Richard Bruce (Lenore) and Charles Stephen; the devoted grandmother of Michelle, Jennifer and Brian (Satyne) and great-grandmother of Megan, Sidney, Matthew, Joshua, Laura and Daniel.
Shirley was a nurturer; a foster parent to premature babies, a caregiver of children and a prolific writer of inspirational letters to seniors.
The funeral will be held in the Church in the Village located in Shepherd Village, 3760 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m .
