Much-loved husband and best friend of Marianne Miller.
Very proud father of Sarah Miller-Garvin and father-in-law of Anna.
Son of the late Lillian Halcro and William Garvin. Survived by a large extended family including his sisters, Anne Fraser (Bruce) and Joan Lavell (Michael), his sister and brother-in-law, Trish and Russ Gaskin.
Bill always had a positive approach to life and a wonderful sense of humour. He loved his family and friends, cooking, travel and photography.
A member of one of the first gifted classes in the city of Ottawa, he always enjoyed reunions with his classmates.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on January 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital, The Peter Munk Centre or ElderDog Canada.
