MILLAR, Alexander Walter  - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander (Al) Walter Millar on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

He died peacefully in his sleep at Southlake Regional Hospital in Newmarket, following his battle with cancer.

Al always lived his life with tremendous passion.

This did not change after his diagnosis; he continued this zest for life and lived every moment fully and admirably. He is survived by his wife and best friend Donna, his brothers James (Helen) and Donald (Pat - deceased), his daughters Kim (James) and Lisa (John David) and his beautiful grandchildren Avery, Courtney, Kyle and Jack.

He will be sadly missed by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as his extended family and his co-workers and employees at Alpha Pro Tech. Al was President and Chairman of Alpha Pro Tech, Ltd., a company he co-founded. He was instrumental in the growth and success of the company and for the public company profile, he was the face of Alpha Pro Tech.

A special thank you to the great team at Southlake Hospital and the Stronach Cancer Centre. A very special thank you to his homecare nurse Robert.

The family is choosing to have a private ceremony. Cremation has already taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southlake Regional Hospital or to the Stronach Cancer Centre.
